According to a report from MARCA, Barcelona are moving towards securing the long-term future of Marcus Rashford after his loan spell from Manchester United has been deemed a clear sporting success.
The report states that Rashford himself is fully convinced about his future and wants to continue at Barcelona beyond the current loan.
His performances, influence in attack, and ability to adapt quickly to the team have left a strong impression internally.
As a result, Barcelona and the player are said to be completely aligned, with the club already beginning the internal process to activate the purchase option included in the deal.
That option stands at €30 million, a figure that Barcelona consider excellent value given Rashford’s impact.
From the club’s point of view, the price represents a rare opportunity to sign an established international forward who is already settled, confident, and performing at a high level within their system.
In fact, this is viewed as a low-risk, high-reward operation.
From Manchester United’s side, however, the situation has evolved in recent weeks.

Following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim, interim manager Michael Carrick has expressed his desire to bring Rashford back to Old Trafford next season.
Carrick has communicated this intention directly to the player, underlining how highly he is still rated at the club.
Despite this change, Barcelona remain calm and confident. The Catalan club hold a signed purchase option and have full priority to activate it.
Legally, Manchester United cannot block the transfer if Barcelona decide to pay the agreed €30 million.
The only possible route for United would be a diplomatic one, which is persuading Rashford himself to turn down Barcelona and opt for a return to Old Trafford.
However, that scenario currently looks highly unlikely, as Rashford is settled, feels trusted, and believes he has found the right environment to relaunch his career at the highest level.
In fact, the forward has publicly stressed his intention to remain at Barcelona and continue playing at the Camp Nou.
That same message has been conveyed directly to the club, reinforcing their confidence in moving forward with the deal.
