Rasmus Kristensen has sealed a €6m move to FC Midtjylland, the latest step in the former Leeds United defender’s career.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the Denmark international right-back’s switch has been driven by personal reasons. Eintracht Frankfurt have respected his wishes, and a medical has already been completed.

Kristensen joined Leeds from Red Bull Salzburg for £10m in June 2022. He was among several departures the following summer after relegation to the Championship.

He spent the 2023-24 season on loan at AS Roma, then moved to Eintracht Frankfurt the next summer, initially on loan with a view to a permanent transfer.

That permanent move to Frankfurt was completed in May 2025, ending his association with Leeds. He now returns to his homeland with Midtjylland.
