Rayan congratulated by Vasco team-mates after first call-up under Carlo Ancelotti | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Rayan has been named by Carlo Ancelotti for the upcoming friendlies against France and Croatia on 26 and 31 March, his first inclusion at this level. Soon after the announcement, former Vasco team-mates Robert Renan and Cauan Barros phoned to congratulate the Bournemouth forward.

Barros wrote on social media that he was happy for him and that he really deserved it.

Rayan’s girlfriend also filmed his reaction as his name appeared on Ancelotti’s list.

Vasco supporters on social media celebrated the call-up of their academy product. Rayan left the club in late January in a deal worth 35 million euros, a record sale for the Rio side, valued at R$ 220.7 million at the current rate.

In 2025 he enjoyed a rapid rise under Fernando Diniz, becoming Vasco’s standout player in the second half of the year. He finished the season with 20 goals in 57 appearances.

Since moving to Bournemouth, he has made an immediate impression with four goals in his first eight games.
