Rayan, a Vasco academy graduate now at Bournemouth, has made Brazil's provisional squad for the final pre-World Cup friendlies. Carlo Ancelotti has leaned on form in Europe and the 19-year-old is the headline inclusion to face France and Croatia.
According to PaponaColina, CBF sent FIFA's mandatory notices to clubs on Friday, with the 26 named Monday in Rio. It is Rayan's first inclusion as Brazil seek cover for Rodrygo, ruled out of the World Cup with a knee injury.
Rayan has two goals and one assist in six Premier League matches and received an official nomination for February's player of the month.
The manager also wants a close look at Igor Thiago and Endrick before settling on his number nine. Igor Thiago has 19 goals for Brentford, 18 in the league and second to Haaland on 22, while Richarlison has one in 2026. Endrick moved from Real Madrid to Lyon with Ancelotti's approval and has five goals and three assists in 10 games, his chances for the final list considered strong.
The defence will be assessed in the United States. With Éder Militão injured and Alexsandro Ribeiro inconsistent, Léo Pereira and Bremer are on the pre-list, while Marquinhos and Gabriel Magalhães are secure, with Danilo and Fabrício Bruno highly regarded. The expectation is that five defenders will be picked.
The squad meets in Orlando on 23 March, plays France on 26 in Boston, then Croatia on 31 back in Florida, with the final World Cup call-up on 19 May.
