According to Sky Germany's sources, RB Leipzig have rejected a €100million offer for Yan Diomande from Liverpool FC.
The Athletic were first to pick up on the eye-watering bid for the 19-year-old currently representing the Ivory Coast at the World Cup.
It's believed the deal was comprised of a €90million fee up front, with a further €10million to follow in bonuses.
Well-known transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano notes that the Bundesliga club are still hoping to keep the youngster for another year.
However, Liverpool are expected to come back with an improved offer which could easily soar beyond the €120million mark.
Whether this happens, however, depends entirely on how the mercurial winger performs at the ongoing World Cup across the Atlantic.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain is also still in the running for Diomande, who will face Germany with the Ivory Coast on Saturday.
