Real Madrid and Bayern Munich appear to have an informal understanding designed to protect the strong relationship between the two European giants.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Los Blancos and the Bavarian club have established a pact under which neither club would attempt to sign a player from the other without first informing the respective institution. 

The revelation has surfaced amid recent speculation linking Real Madrid with Bayern winger Michael Olise.

The French international has attracted interest from the Spanish club, with rumours even suggesting that a potential offer exceeding €220 million could be considered. 

However, Real Madrid moved to distance themselves from the claims by issuing a public statement denying any contact with the player.

The relationship between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich has long been regarded as one of mutual respect, and reports from Germany suggest both clubs have worked to preserve that connection through a specific transfer arrangement.

As a result, the agreement between the clubs ensures transparency whenever one side develops an interest in a player contracted to the other.

The report claims Bayern Munich were unhappy with persistent rumours linking Olise with Real Madrid, particularly suggestions that informal contacts may have taken place.

That frustration is believed to have prompted Real Madrid’s official response, which categorically denied holding discussions with the French winger.

Notably, the Real Madrid transfer news surrounding Olise had intensified in recent weeks, but the club’s statement appears to have eased tensions and protected relations with the Bundesliga champions.

Both institutions are considered to have excellent ties, and neither wishes to see speculation in the media create unnecessary friction.

The Michael Olise Real Madrid links have generated considerable discussion in Germany, especially given the player’s status as one of Bayern’s most important attacking assets.

Reports suggesting Real Madrid could invest more than €220 million in the Bayern star naturally attracted attention, although there remains no indication that formal negotiations have ever taken place.

Bayern officials felt uncomfortable with the speculation, especially considering the understanding both clubs are said to maintain regarding transfer dealings.

As a result, Florentino Perez and the Real Madrid hierarchy were keen to publicly reaffirm their position.

Meanwhile, the strong institutional bond between the two clubs remains evident beyond football matters, and the fact that Bayern president Herbert Hainer is scheduled to visit the Santiago Bernabeu on June 30 will further strengthen this relationship.
