Real Madrid announce one transfer exit, with another to follow | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Friday announced a departure from the club’s midfield ranks.

The Blancos star to have moved on? Mario Martín.

Midfielder Martín had for his part been tipped for a Santiago Bernabéu exit throughout the summer, amid widespread interest in the services of the 20-year-old.

Whilst he remains held in high regard behind the scenes at Real Madrid, the difficult pathway to regular first-team minutes for Martín, in turn, saw Carlo Ancelotti and co. give their blessing to a loan move.

And, on Friday, the Spanish starlet has sealed precisely that.

As per a statement across the La Liga champions’ website and social media platforms:

‘Real Madrid C. F. and Real Valladolid have agreed on the loan of the player Mario Martín for this season, until 30 June 2025.’

And Martín, it is understood, will soon be followed out the exit door in Madrid by another of the club’s up-and-coming Castilla talents.

That’s according to Real insider Mario Cortegana, who points towards Marvel as the player in question.

Defender Marvel was earlier this week heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, with some outlets having gone as far as to suggest that a deal to send the 21-year-old to the Middle East was all but complete.

This, however, will not prove to be the case.

Instead, Marvel has agreed to link up with Córdoba in the Spanish 2nd tier, through the summer of 2025.
