As Real Madrid plan their summer squad overhaul, one of the players facing an uncertain future at the club is Brahim Diaz.
New coach Jose Mourinho has a clear preference for Nico Paz, who is expected to return after a successful spell at Como. This could impact Brahim’s role in the team.
Currently playing the World Cup for the Moroccan national team, the attacker’s future remains a hot topic at Real Madrid, with Fabrizio Romano now shedding more light on the situation.

According to Romano, the only scenario that would prompt Brahim to consider an exit is a direct call from Real Madrid telling him he is no longer part of their plans.
If the club were to contact Brahim or his representatives and inform him that he is surplus to requirements and should find a new team, then a departure becomes a real possibility.
Until that happens, the facts point firmly in one direction: Brahim wants to stay and is banking on remaining at the Bernabeu.
The decision, therefore, rests entirely with Real Madrid and Mourinho. The player has made his preference abundantly clear, and he will not be pushing for an exit of his own accord.

While Brahim waits, interest from elsewhere is growing. Romano suggests that Juventus boss Luciano Spalletti has been pushing for the playmaker for months.
Spalletti has made his desire to sign Brahim known to Juventus’ management, as he looks to shore up Juve’s attack this summer.
For now, the situation remains in limbo. Brahim is determined to fight for his place under Mourinho, but the pursuit of Nico Paz and the wider squad overhaul could yet complicate his standing.
That is why the Moroccan international is currently focusing on the World Cup, where he was recently involved against Brazil, a game in which his teammate Vinicius Jr. scored a brilliant goal.
