According to AS, Real Madrid have secured one of the most promising young talents in Biscayan football for next season.
Lawrence Osayande, a 13-year-old left winger currently playing for Santutxu in the Division de Honor, is set to join La Fabrica this June.
Born in Bilbao and raised in Sestao, Osayande is already a physical standout. Despite his young age, he stands over 1.80 meters tall and is a regular in the Basque Country youth teams.
The left-footed attacker is described as powerful and fast, traits that have helped him net 12 goals in the first half of the current season for Santutxu’s youth team.
His versatility is also a key asset; during his previous years at Athletic Club’s academy, he proved capable of playing both as a left-back and a winger.

The race for his signature was intense. Athletic Club reportedly tried desperately to retain the youngster, submitting a counteroffer in recent weeks in an attempt to keep him in Bilbao.
However, Osayande’s mother ultimately accepted Real Madrid’s proposal for her son to join their youth system. The family is now prepared to relocate to the Spanish capital this summer.
Osayande’s path to Madrid has been unconventional. He previously chose to leave Athletic’s famed Lezama academy to join Santutxu – a club he felt was a better fit for relieving pressure and enjoying his football.
While there, his performances reached such a level that he attracted a well-known sports brand sponsor. After finishing the current league campaign with Santutxu, the young sensation will head to Valdebebas to begin his new chapter in white.
