Despite letting Chema Andres leave this summer, Real Madrid continue to monitor the young midfielder’s progress closely, claims a report from AS (h/t Madrid Zone).
The 20-year-old, who joined Bundesliga side Stuttgart, remains a player of interest for Los Blancos thanks to a buy-back option that gives Madrid the opportunity to bring him back in the future.
Chema Andres made his Real Madrid debut earlier this year in January, coming on as a substitute for Dani Ceballos in the 83rd minute against Las Palmas.
However, in July, he moved to Stuttgart in a deal worth €3 million, signing a five-year contract that runs until 2030.
The arrangement included Madrid retaining 50% of his rights, ensuring that they maintain significant influence over the midfielder’s future, either through a potential buy-back or sell-on percentage.
Since arriving in Germany, Chema Andres has adapted impressively, quickly becoming a key player for coach Sebastian Hoeness.

His ability to cover ground, recover possession, and contribute to the attack has elevated him to prominence within the Stuttgart squad.
One of his standout moments came against Borussia Monchengladbach, when he scored the decisive goal with a header, securing a vital victory for his team.
So far this season, the midfielder has featured in six matches across all competitions, clocking over 220 minutes on the pitch.
As a result, his performances have not gone unnoticed, and Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on his development.
The club’s foresight in including a buy-back clause ensures they still hold leverage over his career, and given his promising displays, there is a real possibility that he could return to Madrid in the future.
