There is a growing sense of dissatisfaction in the Real Madrid dressing room, one that does not bode well for Xabi Alonso’s project.

The manager, after all, has a significant part of the dressing room turned against him and faces a difficult challenge to turn the situation around in a limited time.

At a time when Los Blancos are struggling for form and are in dire need of more players who can contribute in the final third with decisive goal contributions, the name of Nico Paz continues to sound loudly according to recent reports.

Signing fast-tracked?

As relayed by Gaston Edul in a recent report, Real Madrid have made the decision to bring the Como star back to the club.

While the initial idea was to push for a return in the summer, the club now plan on swooping him as early as January.

The men in white have a clause in place that allows them to sign Paz back for a fixed price, and they are expected to activate that clause in the upcoming winter transfer window.

As reported previously, Los Blancos had three clauses in place to sign Paz back with the ones for the previous and upcoming summer transfer windows being set at €8 million and €9 million respectively.

With the idea now to sign him in the winter, it remains to be seen which of the two comes into play.

So far this season, the Real Madrid academy graduate has been in fine form for Como and has recorded five goals and four assists in just twelve Serie A games.

While Real Madrid can indeed do with his numbers in a creative and attacking sense, the big question is over where he fits into the squad especially with Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler already fighting for the attacking-midfield role.
