Real Madrid fans clash over Kylian Mbappé during Rayo matchup | OneFootball

Supporters of La Liga leaders Real Madrid have on Sunday expressed widely opposing viewpoints regarding the contributions of star man Kylian Mbappé.

This comes amid what has been a difficult outing for the Frenchman to date.

Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action, in a La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano.

Mbappé, as expected, was made use of from the first whistle at Vallecas, from his customary berth at centre-forward.

Thus far, however, the 26-year-old has badly struggled to impact the game in any meaningful manner.

And such woes have since sparked widespread debate amongst those of a Blancos persuasion.

Many have been quick to blame Mbappé himself, adamant that the attacker is simply not working hard enough to get involved, from either an offensive or defensive standpoint.

Others, however, have made clear their feelings that Mbappé is simply being utilised incorrectly.

The former PSG standout has found himself isolated throughout the majority of this evening’s fixture, whilst occupying a more traditional no.9 role in Rayo’s defensive third than he is generally accustomed to.

As much comes after large groups of fans recently called for Mbappé to make himself more of a threat from crosses out wide.

Whatever the case may be, all associated with Real Madrid will be hopeful of their side’s top scorer making more of an impact over the remaining 45 minutes.
