Representatives from La Liga giants Real Madrid have already touched base with the entourage of Bayern Munich star Dayot Upamecano, regarding a potential joining of forces for next season.

That’s according to journalist Jorge C Picon, who has this week provided the latest on the situation.

Upamecano, it is understood, has long emerged as a leading transfer target behind the scenes at Real Madrid.

Having regained his best form at the Allianz Arena, the France international has been identified as a ‘major market opportunity’.

As much comes ahead of the expiration of his contract terms in Bavaria in the summer of 2026.

The Santiago Bernabéu brass, in turn, have reached out to Upamecano’s agents, to gauge his interest in a move to La Liga.

Should the 27-year-old make the call not to extend his terms with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid will therefore be waiting in the wings with an offer at the ready.

It is also noted, though, that Upamecano has not yet made a final call on his future, with German champions Bayern having not given up on finding an extension agreement with their defensive standout.
