Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham suffered a hamstring injury a little over a week ago, very early in the game against Rayo Vallecano.
The 22-year-old’s injury came as a big blow for Los Blancos, with reports suggesting that he could be out for a period of one month.
However, in a concerning update, journalist Ramon Alvarez reports that Bellingham’s absence could last much longer than the one month initially suggested.
Indeed, the England international could be out for around two months, meaning he might not be back in action even in March.
This comes as a major blow for Real Madrid, considering that Bellingham is an important part of the team, despite his inconsistent run of form this season.

The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder had already missed one month at the start of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery during the summer. Now, he faces another couple of months out on the sidelines.
Real Madrid, for their part, will be hoping that it does not turn out to be the case and that Bellingham returns to action at the earliest possible.
So far this season, Bellingham has played 28 times across all competitions, registering a return of six goals and four assists.
Throughout the season, the midfielder has been unable to perform at his best on a consistent level, with former manager Xabi Alonso struggling to find his best role in the team and Alvaro Arbeloa, too, finding it hard to fit him into the team in the best way possible.
