Despite Alvaro Arbeloa currently occupying the Real Madrid bench, there is growing certainty inside the club that he is not viewed as the long-term answer.
Following the dismissal of Xabi Alonso, the Spanish giants are looking beyond short-term fixes and quietly mapping out a future project built around stability, authority, and elite experience.
In that context, one name has begun to stand out above the rest – Jurgen Klopp.
According to an update shared by respected journalist Florian Plettenberg, the German coach is seriously considering a return to management, but only under very specific conditions, one of which includes a strong move from Real Madrid.
What are his conditions?
The journalist states that while Klopp is currently content in his role within the Red Bull project, two scenarios could tempt him back into the dugout.
One is Real Madrid and the other is the German national team. Outside of those elite opportunities, Klopp has little interest in returning to the daily grind of club management.

Real Madrid, for their part, have always been interested in the German. The club’s history, global stature, and constant demand for excellence align closely with the environments where he has previously thrived.
Internally, Klopp remains one of the most admired managers among Madrid’s hierarchy and board members.
That admiration has not faded, even though there is currently no active negotiation or formal discussion taking place.
Importantly, the power dynamic in this situation does not sit with Madrid, as the club is waiting, watching, and positioning itself, but the decisive factor rests entirely with Klopp.
At present, the German has not taken any steps towards a comeback. Since leaving Liverpool, he has distanced himself from the relentless pressure of management, prioritising balance and long-term clarity.
However, that does not mean the door is closed. Far from it. If Klopp were to signal even a slight openness to returning to coaching, Real Madrid would be prepared to move quickly and decisively.
