Real Madrid welcomed Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga back into the squad for the first time this season when they faced Olympique de Marseille.

Indeed, the midfield duo received their medical discharge earlier this week and were named in the squad for the game on Tuesday.

However, neither Bellingham nor Camavinga made an appearance against the French club even as Real Madrid secured a 2-1 win at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Season debut incoming vs Espanyol?

As such, Mundo Deportivo now reports that Camavinga and Bellingham could make their first appearances of the season for Real Madrid this Saturday against Espanyol.

Los Blancos host the Catalan club, currently third in La Liga, at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, aiming to register their sixth win in a row this season in all competitions.

And, Xabi Alonso is expected to hand minutes to both Bellingham and Camavinga over the weekend.

Camavinga has not played a single game since April last season, having had to deal with multiple injury issues. He is yet to get a taste of football under Xabi Alonso, even though he did make the bench for one game at the FIFA Club World Cup.

Bellingham, on the other hand, did play all games at the Club World Cup, following which he underwent shoulder surgery in July.

The England international was tipped to return in October, but has worked hard to recover and make his comeback much earlier.

The idea is for both players to get some on-field action under their belt and gain some rhythm in time for the derby against Atletico Madrid on 27 September.

Before that, Real Madrid will also face Levante on Tuesday, 23 September, which will serve as another opportunity for Bellingham and Camavinga to build some steam heading into the derby vs Los Rojiblancos.
