Real Madrid monitoring €20 million-rated teenage prodigy; Barcelona, Liverpool also keen | OneFootball

Real Madrid are always on the lookout for up and coming young prospects across the globe. The strategy has worked wonders, as the Merengues have been able to secure top talents like Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, Arda Guler, Endrick, and Franco Mastantuono in recent years.

The scouting department, led by Juni Calafat, are always on alert to identify and track youth talents with promise, and it appears that a teenage midfield prodigy from Germany has caught their eye.

Kennet Eichhorn on Real Madrid’s radar

Indeed, according to German publication BILD, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid are one of many top teams from Europe showing an interest in Hertha BSC and Germany U17 midfield prospect Kennet Eichhorn.

Just 16 years old, the pivot midfielder is making great strides in his career in Germany. Eichhorn signed his first professional contract earlier this year and has since broken into the first-team setup at Hertha, even making nine appearances already.

Impressing with his maturity, ball distribution, and positioning, the teenage prodigy has attracted interest from a host of big clubs across the continent.

As per the report, Real Madrid have sent scouts to the Olympiastadion in Berlin to monitor Eichhorn, but they are not alone to do so.

The Merengues’ bitter rivals, FC Barcelona, are also tracking the teenager, along with Premier League giants such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal.

Reigning French and European champions PSG are also in the hunt, as are Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, and Eintracht Frankfurt.

The report states that Hertha would be open to selling Eichhorn if an offer of €20 million or more to arrive for him. What now remains to be seen is whether Real Madrid are willing to act on their early interest in the young prodigy.
