According to a report from Melchor Ruiz, it has come to light that Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Eduardo Camavinga’s condition after the midfielder missed two consecutive training sessions with the French national team.

As such, the 23-year-old’s absence from full team drills has raised fresh concerns at Valdebebas, particularly as Aurelien Tchouameni is also recovering from his own injury setback.

Camavinga, who has been struggling with minor physical discomfort for several days, has only been able to take part in light running sessions.

According to reports from France, he was again seen training separately with the fitness coach during Les Bleus’ final session before their crucial World Cup qualifier against Ukraine.

His limited involvement strongly indicates that he will neither start nor feature unless his condition improves dramatically before kick-off.

What did Deschamps say?

The situation has placed Didier Deschamps in a difficult position.

Notably, Deschamps openly addressed Camavinga’s fitness issues in his pre-match comments, acknowledging the midfielder’s ongoing struggles.

“Eduardo Camavinga has injuries that prevent him from having consistency,” he said.

“He wants more game time to improve. If he didn’t have these problems, he would definitely have more consistency with Real Madrid and with us,” he noted.

These remarks underline the frustration surrounding the young midfielder’s stop-start season.

Camavinga has often been one of Real Madrid’s most versatile assets, capable of playing as a defensive midfielder, full-back, or interior, but his recurring knocks have limited his rhythm and consistency.

Likely to miss the Ukraine match

Deschamps, as things stand, has no intention of taking unnecessary risks. Reports in France suggest he is likely to rely on N’Golo Kante and Manu Kone as his preferred double pivot against Ukraine.

At Real Madrid, this situation is being closely monitored by the club’s medical and technical staff.

The focus now will be on ensuring the Frenchman returns fully fit for club duties once the international break concludes.
