The future of Bernardo Silva is one of the key monitorables heading into the summer transfer window, with the player’s contract at Manchester City expiring at the end of the season.

Silva, therefore, will become a free agent this summer, which has put a host of clubs on red alert, including Barcelona.

The Catalans are reportedly exploring the financial feasibility of the move, with the player himself keen on joining the club.

Real Madrid also offered Bernardo Silva

However, Barcelona are not the only club in contention to sign Silva, as the player has also been offered to Real Madrid, reports Diario AS.

It appears the club’s improved relationship with Jorge Mendes could pay dividends as the Portuguese superagent is likely to play a key role in dictating the playmaker’s future.

This is not the first time Silva has been offered to Real Madrid either, as similar news was reported last month as well.

Will Silva be a good fit at Real Madrid?

With 450 appearances for Man City and multiple Premier League titles, Bernardo Silva should bring in a wealth of experience and winning mentality to the table for Real Madrid.

However, from a tactical standpoint, the Portuguese international’s arrival won’t make much sense as Real Madrid are already quite stacked in the creative department.

Franco Mastantuono, Arda Guler, Jude Bellingham are already vying for a position while Nico Paz is also set to join the team next season.

Real Madrid, therefore, cannot guarantee regular game-time to Silva, who is already in the final stage of his career and may not offer much in terms of speed and exuberance.
