Real Madrid are set to complete the signing of Alan Godoy, the promising Canary Island striker, in the coming days, claims a report from AS.

The 21-year-old forward, currently at Eldense, will make the move to the Spanish capital to join Raul Gonzalez’s Castilla team.

Godoy’s name has been highly sought after, with numerous First Division RFEF clubs, several reserve teams, and even Barcelona showing strong interest in securing his services.

However, it now seems clear that Real Madrid will be the club to secure his signature.

Real Madrid have led the negotiations

The negotiations between Eldense and Real Madrid are progressing smoothly, and the deal is expected to be completed soon.

The transfer offer from the Madrid side stands at around €2 million, with additional clauses tied to future objectives that could bring the total value higher.

Godoy is reportedly keen on the move, even though it means he would drop down a level to play for Castilla.

The striker’s commitment to joining Real Madrid is evident, as he was notably left out of Eldense’s squad for a recent Copa del Rey match against Valencia, further suggesting that his departure is imminent.

Who is Alan Godoy?

Although Godoy has not been a regular starter for Eldense this season, his potential is undeniable. He has only started five matches across the League and Cup, accumulating just 398 minutes of playing time and failing to score a goal.

The young striker was signed by Eldense last summer from Alaves, but he spent the previous season on loan at Nastic, where he nearly helped the team achieve promotion to the Second Division.

Despite his limited opportunities at Eldense, Godoy has valuable experience in the Second Division, having previously played for Mirandes.

Real Madrid see him as a key player to strengthen their Castilla squad, who are currently fighting to stay out of the relegation zone.

The club is hopeful that Godoy’s arrival will provide a much-needed boost for the team as they aim to improve in the second half of the season.
