Real Madrid open talks for Rodrigo Mendoza | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have kicked into gear negotiations to add to the club’s up-and-coming crop of midfield talent.

That’s according to Relevo, who have confirmed on Monday the interest of Real in the signature of Elche sensation Rodrigo Mendoza.

Mendoza, for his part, is a 19-year-old midfielder, who has spent the season to date making a name for himself as a potential star in the making.

Hailed for his abilities on the ball, the youngster boasts creative excellence in the final third as well as an eye for goal, giving rise to a haul of two goals and two assists in 15 appearances thus far this term.

And such exploits, as alluded to above, have not gone at all unnoticed behind the scenes at Real Madrid.

In fact, as per a report from Relevo, in an effort to beat out stiff competition for Mendoza’s services, the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu have kicked into gear transfer negotiations with their Elche counterparts.

It is added that ‘the figures communicated by Valdebebas, for the moment, are insufficient’, but Florentino Pérez and co. remain confident in striking a deal nonetheless.
