Real Madrid are open to selling Sunderland-linked Ferland Mendy in January, though the left-back would prefer to remain in Madrid.
AS quotes Lopez as saying the club are listening to proposals and would sell only for a convincing fee, with Mendy under contract until 2027 and keen to stay.
Recent reports have suggested the Black Cats could consider a speculative move in the coming weeks, with talk of a bid around £9.5 million to take the full-back to the Stadium of Light.
Mendy joined Real from Lyon in 2019 for upwards of £45 million. Injuries have ruled him out of around 40 matches across the past two seasons, and he has largely been usurped in the starting XI by Alvaro Carreras.
According to the same account, there was interest last summer but no club offered enough, and terminating his contract is not on the table. The position set out was that he stays unless the required offer arrives.
