Real Madrid do not take mediocrity well, and that fact is well understood and accepted in today’s world of football.
As the sport’s most decorated institution, Los Blancos have no tolerance for poor results and believe they must always be contenders to win on all fronts.
This season’s saga, thus, has not gone down well with Florentino Perez and the president has decided that massive changes must arrive even beyond the dressing room come June.
Indeed, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo, the changes in Real Madrid’s hierarchy will extend quite far up the order and may even affect those close to Perez.
A revolution is being considered to turn a new leaf on the club’s sporting project and no one is safe as part of the same.

From Jose Angel Sanchez who is Real Madrid’s general director, to Juni Calafat who is the head of the scouting department, there may be some direct effects of the impending revolution. The latter is said to be at greater risk.
A third candidate who is massive for the club but may face the music is Anas Laghari who is Perez’s most trusted aide. Needless to say, the situation is creating serious nerves within the club.
Beyond the administrative changes, Perez is firm that a managerial change is a must in June and that Alvaro Arbeloa must go. The current manager will only stay if he manages to win the UEFA Champions League this season.
Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino stand out as the options to replace Arbeloa for Real Madrid.
Of them, however, the latter has a stronger case as Perez has already pursued his arrival in the past and he is highly admired by the hierarchy.
