Real Madrid ready to extend Rüdiger?

Real Madrid and Antonio Rüdiger could extend their partnership, with the defender’s contract set to expire in June 2026, according to Sky.

The 32-year-old German centre-back was close to reaching an agreement with the Spanish club, but talks were put on hold due to health issues. Rüdiger has featured in just one match this season because of a thigh injury. Medical staff expect him to return to the pitch by mid-December.

Once he’s back to full fitness, the club will reassess his situation and could resume contract negotiations. Rüdiger is not obliged to stay in Madrid — he has also attracted interest from Saudi Arabian clubs and there’s talk of a potential return to the Premier League.
