Real Madrid are staring at the possibility of ending another season without any major trophy just like the last campaign.
Having lost the Spanish Super Cup to Barcelona earlier in the year and crashed out of the Copa del Rey as well, Real Madrid were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League last night by Bayern Munich.
As far as La Liga is concerned, the Merengues are already nine points behind leaders Barcelona with only seven matches left to be played.
Given their current situation, there is some sort of acceptance in the locker room that the title may already be lost.
Now, according to El Chiringuito TV’s Marcos Llorente, Real Madrid do not intend to give Barcelona a guard of honour in case they are crowned the champions of La Liga before El Clasico.

Real Madrid take on their bitter rivals at the Spotify Camp Nou on May 10. For Barça to have been confirmed as champions by then, they will have to stretch their lead to 13 points.
In that scenario, Los Blancos do not plan on giving them a guard of honour, with the reason for that stance being the ‘Negreira case’.
It is no secret that Real Madrid have taken a hard stance against Barcelona in the Negreira case, pushing hard for more investigation and sanctions.
Their stance has led to the complete breakdown of relations between the two biggest clubs of Spain, adding more tension to an already heated rivalry. And the refusal to give a guard of honour will only serve to fuel the fires even more.
