Real Madrid send classy public message to La Liga rivals | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Tuesday sent a public message the way of La Liga rivals RCD Espanyol.

This comes on a special day for all associated with the Catalan club.

Espanyol are today celebrating their 125th anniversary as a sporting entity, a stellar achievement for a side enjoying a brilliant campaign to date.

Keen to make their delight for their Spanish top-flight rivals known, Real Madrid therefore took to social media, to unveil the following classy post:

‘Congratulations on your 125th anniversary, RCD Espanyol. It’s an honour and a source of pride to have, in our country, a club loved and admired by everyone. Your history enhances Spanish football.’

Espanyol have themselves also made use of today’s celebrations to share a series of social media posts with their fanbase.

One such message can be seen below, reading:

‘So many years defying the impossible. We are guardians of this indestructible love. Fighting against the current. Facing pain head-on. With the strength of an invincible feeling. Happy 125th Anniversary, RCD Espanyol!’
