Real Madrid standoff as Asencio, Mendy, Camavinga and Mastantuono resist exits | OneFootball

Real Madrid face an overcrowded squad as several players resist exits. Superdeporte reports Yan Diomande and Rodrigo Hernández will be announced once details with Leipzig and Manchester City are finalised, after Marc Cucurella, Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konaté and Bernardo Silva joined.

At left-back there are three, Marc Cucurella, Álvaro Carreras and Ferland Mendy, with Mendy likeliest to go given injuries. Carreras has underwhelmed but €50 million paid to Benfica is seen as irrecoverable.

At centre-back the options are Dean Huisen, Antonio Rudiger, Ibrahima Konaté and Raúl Asencio. Mourinho has spoken to the Canary Islander to say he is not in his plans, and Jorge Mendes is seeking him a club.

Rodri’s arrival crowds a midfield of Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchoumaneni and Eduardo Camavinga. Camavinga has told the club he will not leave despite being warned opportunities will be fewer. In attacking midfield, Bernardo Silva and Yan Diomande join Bellingham, Vinícius, Rodrygo, Brahim, Arda Guler and Mastantuono.

Up front, Kylian Mbappé, Gonzalo García and Endrick are three for one role the Frenchman will monopolise, prompting exits. García is the only one to say he wants minutes elsewhere. Mourinho likes his number nine profile, but the club have backed €72 million signing Endrick.

García has chosen Arbeloa’s Fulham, closing at €40 million for 70 percent after Madrid sought over €60 million. High wages and longer deals deter exits, and Raúl Asencio, Ferland Mendy, Eduardo Camavinga, Brahim Díaz, Gonzalo García, Franco Mastantuono and Arda Guler will not get the minutes they want.
