Real Madrid star accused of transfer exit plea following social media post | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has this weekend been accused of a less-than-subtle hint at wanting to depart.

The player in question? Dani Ceballos.

Midfielder Ceballos has of course seen his name emerge as an altogether prominent one in the transfer headlines across the summer to date.

This comes with the 28-year-old expected to be forced into a backup role in Xabi Alonso’s squad this coming season.

Real Betis, in turn, have been hotly tipped to launch a move for Ceballos.

And as alluded to above, on Saturday, the former Arsenal man has grabbed the headlines once more, on this occasion through his social media activity.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Ceballos unveiled a photo of himself featuring the inoffensive caption:

“Last day of training before the start.”

Accompanying as much, though, was the song ‘I want to be free’, construed by many a Real Madrid fan to be something of a plea on Ceballos’ part to move on.
