Real Madrid star dropped vs Real Betis as ‘technical decision’ | OneFootball

An explanation for the absence of Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos from the club’s latest matchday squad has been forthcoming online.

This comes amid confirmation of the Spaniard being completely overlooked, despite being fit for action.

Real Madrid are of course primed to return to the pitch in short order.

Amid the ongoing La Liga run-in, the 2nd-placed Blancos have made the trip to Seville, to lock horns with Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis.

With the likes of Aurélien Tchouaméni and Arda Güler ruled out for the evening, the expectation was that the aforementioned Dani Ceballos, at the very least, would be afforded a place on the visitors’ bench at La Cartuja.

As alluded to above, however, this has not proven to be the case.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Álvaro Arbeloa has made the call to leave Ceballos in Spain’s capital, a purely ‘technical decision’ on the part of the Spanish tactician.
