Real Madrid star duo exchange affectionate messages on social media after Villarreal win | OneFootball

Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr, in their own right, are two of the best footballers on the planet and there is hardly any argument against the same.

Real Madrid, thus, are truly blessed to have both stars don the club’s crest although both Mbappe and Vinicius have barely ever shone together over the past year.

As a football fan, it is frightening to think of how lethal Real Madrid’s attack can be when both players are firing on all cylinders, and the team’s clash against Villarreal recently provided a trailer of the same.

After all, Mbappe was sharp on the night but so was Vinicius who scored a brace and showed that he is moving closer to his best.

A message of support

A lot has been said about an internal clash between Mbappe and Vinicius and how both stars cannot coexist at the same club.

Last night, however, the duo showed great camaraderie and silenced their critics.

When Vinicius won a penalty for Real Madrid in the 69th minute, everyone expected Mbappe to step up and extend his goalscoring streak.

Instead, the Frenchman handed the opportunity to Vinicius to score and complete a brace.

After the game, he took to his social media with a photo of him and Vinicius just before the penalty where he is seen handing over the responsibility to the winger with an affectionate gesture.

The caption with his photo also won hearts across the globe as he wrote,

“Always on your boat.”

Reposting the same story on his social media, Vinicius replied with a message back to his teammate stating that they would always support each other.

“We’re in this together, my brother,” he wrote.

If indeed Real Madrid can get both their stars working in tandem and at their best, few defences in the world can claim to be able to contain their attack. The signs, needless to say, are promising.
