Real Madrid will be fighting tooth and nail on Tuesday night to get past Italian giants Juventus to reach the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup in its new format.

Los Blancos finished the group stage on a high by topping Group H with two wins and a draw against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia. Young players such as Dean Huijsen, Arda Guler, and Gonzalo Garcia were the standout performers, but it was difficult for some of the other young players to give it their all.

Rodrygo Goes unhappy with his involvement with Real Madrid

According to reports from The Athletic, those around Rodrygo Goes are unhappy with the lack of minutes the Brazilian is getting for Real Madrid at the current FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

The lack of involvement in the group stage, in particular, has been a major source of irritation for those around the player and has given them doubt for next season about the player's full involvement with the team.

At just 24 years old, Rodrygo finds himself in an unexpected battle for relevance at Real Madrid. After starting in the club’s opening match against Al-Hilal, the Brazilian forward has seen his role diminish—left on the bench by Xabi Alonso against Pachuca and granted just a late 25-minute cameo in place of Vinícius Jr.

The emergence of Arda Güler as a preferred option, coupled with the impending arrival of Franco Mastantuono, threatens to push Rodrygo further down the pecking order. Behind the scenes, his camp has grown frustrated with his lack of minutes during the U.S. tour, raising questions about his long-term future at the Santiago Bernabéu.

All eyes are now on the knockout stages—will Rodrygo reclaim his place, or will continued exclusion accelerate talks of a potential exit? One thing is certain: his situation could soon reach a tipping point.
