A statistic, highlighting the ongoing excellence of Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. with the ball at his feet this season, has come to the fore online.

Wide-man Vinícius is for his part of course fresh off another starring display on the continent.

After Real Madrid bested Manchester City by two goals to one at The Etihad, the Brazilian was handed the Man of the Match prize, credited with a pair of assists.

And such impressive exploits on Vinícius’ part have translated to league play, too.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of statisticians DataMB that the 24-year-old has been responsible for more progressive ball carries than any other player in Europe’s top seven leagues this season.

Vinícius, to date, has racked up 116 such actions.

This comes despite the attacker having missed time in La Liga through both injury and suspension in 2024/25.
