A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is expected to return to the bench for his country’s next outing at Euro 2024.
The player in question? Eduardo Camavinga.
Youngster Camavinga was afforded a starting berth for France late last week, as Les Bleus battled past Portugal to book a spot in the Euro semi-finals.
This marked the 21-year-old’s very first start of the tournament.
And Camavinga, to his credit, went on to thoroughly impress, with his endeavours when out of possession in particular having proven of the highest standard.
Many, in turn, had since called for the Real Madrid man to maintain his place, in the face of the return of Adrien Rabiot.
If the latest word stemming from the French media is anything to go by, however, then it would appear that Didier Deschamps has altogether different ideas.
As per a report from RMC Sport, Rabiot is expected to slot straight back into Les Bleus’ line-up, alongside N’Golo Kanté and Aurélien Tchouaméni:
