La Liga leaders Real Madrid have on Saturday been dealt a considerable blow on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Dean Huijsen will be suspended for the club’s next two fixtures.

Defender Huijsen was for his part in from the off once more this evening, as Real Madrid marked their post-international break return to action in a meeting with Real Sociedad.

Late in the first-half, with Xabi Alonso’s troops leading by a goal to nil, however, disaster struck.

After Huijsen was controversially deemed to have been responsible for a last man foul, the 20-year-old was shown a straight red card.

As much means an incoming two-game suspension.

Huijsen, in turn, will not be available to play his part against either Espanyol, or Levante.

The timing could not be any worse for Real Madrid, fresh off seeing Antonio Rüdiger condemned to a long-term spell on the sidelines through injury on Friday.
