Real Madrid star will find it ‘difficult’ to earn a starting berth this coming season | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid will find a starting berth altogether difficult come by in the 2025/26 campaign.

That’s according to Marca, who highlight Rodrygo as the player in question.

Frontman Rodrygo has of course seen his name take its place centre stage in the media chatter surrounding Real Madrid for some time now.

This comes amid ongoing speculation linking the Brazilian with a departure from Spain’s capital.

To date, despite links with a whole host of clubs from across the continent, though, Real Madrid are yet to receive a single proposal for Rodrygo.

And should this remain the case upon the summer transfer window coming to a close, the 24-year-old could be facing up to an altogether difficult season next time out.

As per a report from Marca:

‘What seems clear is that (earning) a starting role is going to be difficult for him.’

Xabi Alonso, it would appear, is ready to rely on the talents of the likes of Brahim Díaz, and the incoming Franco Mastantuono.
