There are a number of players that could leave Real Madrid during the upcoming summer transfer window, which opens for business next month. Jose Mourinho will have the final say on the members of his squad that could depart, and one of the players that falls into this category is Brahim Diaz.
Since returning from Milan three years ago, Brahim has established himself as an important squad player at the Bernabeu. He’s recorded 20 goals and 22 assists in 142 appearances across all competitions, which is an impressive return considering he has barely been a regular starter over the course of the last three seasons.
His form, coupled with the fact that he’s not a vital player for Real Madrid, has seen Brahim attract interest from Juventus, who want to take him back to Italy. The player himself, who’s currently focused on the 2026 World Cup with Morocco, wants to stay at the Bernabeu, but according to Fabrizio Romano, he will depart if he’s told that he won’t be part of Mourinho’s plans for the 2026-27 season.
Right now, the right wing position is Brahim’s to hold, but there is a chance that Real Madrid look to sign someone in that area. Coupled with Rodrygo Goes, who’ll return from an ACL injury in 2027, and Franco Mastantuono also being options, there is a chance that the Morocco international can be moved on for big money.

At this stage, there is no indication that Real Madrid want to part ways with Brahim. They are very happy with his contribution over the last three years, and they hope he can continue being an important squad player during Mourinho’s tenure – although the Portuguese manager will have the final say on whether he wants him in his squad.
