Following his stellar performance for Brazil against South Korea earlier today, Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr. expressed gratitude towards manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The Brazilian winger was the star of the show, scoring and assisting one goal as the Selecao beat South Korea 5-0 in a friendly. His Real Madrid teammate, Rodrygo Goes, also starred with a brace.

‘Ancelotti the best coach I’ve had’: Vinicius

After the team’s win in Seoul, Vinicius praised Brazil coach Ancelotti, describing him as ‘the coach who gave me the most confidence.’

“He was always the best coach I’ve ever had. He was the coach who gave me the most confidence, the one I played my best with,” said Vinicius, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

“He’s arrived here with the national team. I’ve played three games with him now, and I’ve managed to score two goals and provide one assist,” he added.

Vinicius also told reporters that the win over South Korea gives “confidence” to the entire team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which begins in eight months in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

“We have to prepare as quickly as possible because there’s very little time left,” he warned.

Vinicius also emphasised that Ancelotti’s arrival in the Brazil camp, under whom he enjoyed his best form at Real Madrid, has allowed the team’s play to evolve positively.

“We want to continue like this to have an excellent World Cup,” he stated.

Vinicius’ comments come after he endured a difficult start to the campaign with Real Madrid, under Xabi Alonso, who replaced Ancelotti.

Under the Spanish coach, the 25-year-old superstar player has been a substitute in some matches for technical reasons, although in recent appearances he has shown clear improvement, reclaiming his place in the starting lineup.
