Having bid goodbye to Real Madrid in June earlier this year, Carlo Ancelotti took over the reins of the Brazil national team.
The Italian tactician undertook a huge challenge to lead the Canarinha to the FIFA World Cup 2026 and even though there have been some hurdles along the way, the general feeling with his start has been that of happiness.
The same was made clear by Real Madrid and Brazil superstar Vinicius Jr., who hailed the impact made by Ancelotti since taking over as the national team manager.
“With Ancelotti we are evolving, we are creating a playing style . Finding that before the World Cup is going to be important because there are only a few matches left,” said Vinicius in an interview with the CBF official media (h/t AS).
“Everyone needs to get into the World Cup mindset, to understand that our opportunity has arrived,” the winger commented.
The Italian manager has brought to Brazil the same model that earned him success at Real Madrid, PSG, and Chelsea – a move widely welcomed by the players.

“Ancelotti has done the same as at the other clubs he’s managed. His work has been to instill confidence in the players , to leave everyone eager to take advantage of each player’s strengths in their best position,” noted Vinicius.
“He always says he wants to see the Brazilian people happy, to return to the style of football we’ve always played, and to win the World Cup, our ultimate goal.”
The Real Madrid attacker further highlighted that the players were very happy with how things are under Ancelotti, saying:
“Everyone is enjoying themselves and having a good time. Ancelotti always says that we already have the intensity and passion for the shirt. That makes the job easier.
“He gives us peace of mind, which makes the job easier, and that’s important. We have to win so that all his work is appreciated,” he concluded.
Vinicius was always one of Ancelotti’s most trusted players at Real Madrid and the Italian tactician sees the winger as the centre-piece of the Brazil side as well.
However, the attacker is not enjoying the same treatment at the Santiago Bernabeu under new manager Xabi Alonso, with there being growing tensions between the two, leading to question marks over his future at the club.
