Real Madrid appear to have avoided a major scare after fresh reports revealed that the physical issue suffered by Vinicius Jr. during the victory over Sevilla is not believed to be serious.
According to journalist Sergio Quirante, the Brazilian forward’s discomfort was only a minor issue despite the worrying scenes late in the match at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.
Vinicius played a decisive role in Madrid’s narrow 1-0 victory, scoring the only goal of the game before being forced off in the 77th minute after experiencing discomfort in his right leg.
The situation immediately caused concern among supporters and coaching staff, especially because the winger appeared unable to continue comfortably.
After taking his place on the bench, the Real Madrid forward was seen applying ice to his shin while receiving treatment from the medical staff.

Things became even more worrying when Vinicius was later spotted leaving the stadium with a noticeable limp, leading to immediate speculation about a possible injury setback ahead of the international break.
However, the player himself quickly eased fears while exiting the venue.
When approached by reporters and asked about his physical condition, Vinicius simply responded: “I’m fine.”
The positive update will come as a major relief not only for Real Madrid but also for the Brazilian national team ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

Barring any unexpected setback over the next few days, Vinicius is expected to be included in Brazil’s next squad list.
The timing of the scare had naturally caused anxiety because Vinicius remains one of the most important attacking players for both club and country.
Any lengthy absence would have been a huge blow, especially considering how heavily Real Madrid rely on his pace, movement and ability to change matches individually.
Notably, manager Alvaro Arbeloa provided a strong update on the matter during his post-match comments, stating that there is nothing to fear.
“Vini has come off with a niggle. I think it’s just a bit of a nuisance. And that there’s nothing particularly serious,” he said.
