Xabi Alonso’s decision not to utilise Endrick’s services despite the youngster’s recovery has been a difficult pill for the player to swallow.

The same teenager who was fighting to stay and earn his place in the Spanish capital months ago, thus, has now reconciled to the fact that his short-term future lies away from Madrid.

Endrick is now open to leaving on loan as he sees a real need for regular minutes and playing time to keep developing. After all, his goal is to reach the level that Real Madrid expects from him.

Conditions set

As one of world football’s highest-rated young prodigies, Endrick unsurprisingly has a list of pre-requisites that the club he joins on loan should meet. ESPN Brazil bring out that list and it is an elaborate one.

For starters, they must be in Europe’s top five leagues and should thus be from England, Spain, Germany, Italy or France.

The teenage striker would also join a Portuguese club but it should be one of the top three teams of the nation – either Porto, Benfica or Sporting CP.

Further, Endrick will only consider teams that play in Europe, either the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League. They should also be an important team domestically who have it in them to compete for the domestic league title.

Finally, he will join only a team that plays an attacking style of football. Clubs that satisfy the above criteria will be considered by the player in January when he opts to leave on loan.

Considering the player’s stringent scrutiny over clubs’ eligibility, he will not have many options to choose from especially given that he wishes to sign for a top-five league side who can compete for the domestic title.

After all, such heavyweights are usually stacked in the attacking department and may not welcome a loan move without a purchase option.
