Michael Olise’s future remains one of the dominant topics at FC Bayern. While the French sports newspaper L’Équipe reports that the attacking star has clearly expressed a desire to move to Real Madrid, insiders point to talks scheduled for after the World Cup.
Rumors of a possible transfer of Michael Olise to Real Madrid have gained significant momentum in recent days.
According to information from L’Équipe, the French national team player reportedly wishes to continue his career with Los Blancos. The report states that Olise has openly discussed this desire within the French national team and has sought information about Real Madrid from Kylian Mbappé, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Ibrahima Konaté.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is awaiting the 24-year-old’s return. After reaching the semifinals with France, Olise will first be granted special leave before crucial talks about his future take place in Munich.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano emphasizes that, despite the reports from France, FC Bayern has not yet received any signals to the contrary from the player.
“FC Bayern has not yet been informed. There will be meetings and discussions after the World Cup. FC Bayern’s stance will be: We don’t want to sell you, but rather offer you a new contract and a very high salary,” Romano explained.
Accordingly, club officials are determined to convince the Frenchman to stay long-term upon his return. Bayern continues to view Olise as not for sale and would instead offer him a new contract with improved terms.

AZ reporter Maximilian Koch also believes the decision ultimately rests with the player. In his assessment, it will only become clear after the personal discussions just how concrete the transfer rumors actually are.
“It will be interesting to see what Olise tells FC Bayern. So far, the club is relaxed; it holds all the cards. If the player really wants to leave, they’ll have to reconsider,” said Koch.
The Munich club is in a comfortable negotiating position. Olise’s contract runs through 2029 and contains no buyout clause. A sale would therefore only be considered if an exceptional offer were made.
Even Koch admits, however, that a massive transfer fee might at least warrant some discussion: “If the transfer fee were between 170 and 200 million euros—should that happen—you’d have to think it over.”
One thing is certain: The reports from L’Équipe are likely to further heighten the tension surrounding this situation. Clarity is not expected until Olise returns to Säbener Straße after his vacation and seeks a meeting with Bayern officials.
