Real Madrid trio ‘highly likely’ to return to squad to face Girona | OneFootball

La Liga leaders Real Madrid are increasingly hopeful of welcoming an important trio of players back into matchday duties this weekend.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of Diario AS that all of Franco Mastantuono, Éder Militão and Antonio Rüdiger are closing on returns to the pitch.

All three have been forced to sit out Real Madrid’s two fixtures since kicking their campaign back into gear post-international break last weekend.

Defender Rüdiger, in fact, has not taken to the pitch in a competitive setting since all the way back in September, owing to a serious muscular injury.

If the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, though, then the German, as well as teammates Mastantuono and Militão, look set to be available once more this weekend.

As per a report from Diario AS, ahead of Real Madrid making the trip to Girona for a La Liga clash on Sunday:

‘Whether or not they make the squad will depend on how Mastantuono, Rüdiger, and Militão feel in the final training session. All three are highly likely to travel.’
