Real Madrid have completed one of their most important pieces of business ahead of the new season, with Antonio Rudiger set to continue at the club beyond the expiry of his previous agreement.
According to reports from Sky Sports Germany, the experienced centre-back has already signed a new contract with Los Blancos, with all the details now fully agreed between the two parties.
While the paperwork has been completed, the club is expected to delay the official announcement until after the upcoming presidential election.
The development puts an end to months of uncertainty surrounding the future of one of Real Madrid’s most reliable defenders and ensures that the squad will retain a key figure as it enters a new era.

However, talks between the club and the player’s representatives continued in recent weeks, and an agreement has now been reached.
The German international remains an important member of the squad despite approaching the latter stages of his career.
Last season, he made 26 appearances across competitions and contributed one goal while continuing to provide leadership and defensive stability.
In keeping with Real Madrid’s long-standing policy regarding players over the age of 30, the club have offered Rudiger a one-year extension rather than a long-term deal.
As a result, his new agreement will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2027.

Notably, an important aspect of the negotiations is believed to have involved his salary package.
Rudiger is among the highest earners in the squad, and as reported before, the extension includes a reduction from his current earnings, which are believed to be around €14 million gross per season.
The renewal arrives at a particularly important moment for Real Madrid, as the club has already seen experienced dressing-room figures depart, with Dani Carvajal and David Alaba no longer part of the project.
That makes Rudiger’s presence even more valuable, as beyond his performances, the German brings a strong and commanding personality that can help guide younger players through demanding moments.
