The past couple of weeks have not entirely gone according to plan for Alvaro Arbeloa and Real Madrid.
Despite beating Benfica to secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, Los Blancos have lost valuable ground in the La Liga title race after back-to-back defeats to Osasuna and Getafe.
Performances on the field have left a lot to be desired and injuries to important players have only made matters worse.
As such, reports have suggested that doubts are growing within the club about Arbeloa and his suitability for the role, while it has also been claimed that the locker room is starting to lose its trust in the manager.
Amidst all this, Fabrizio Romano reports that Real Madrid will not make any immediate decisions regarding Arbeloa.
The manager’s situation will be assessed at the end of the season and a decision on his future will only be made afterwards.

The Italian transfer expert clarifies that Los Blancos are not in contact with any potential managerial candidates despite the continued links with Jurgen Klopp.
And, he further reiterates that Arbeloa has the chance to further his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu beyond the ongoing campaign, with trophies being the key.
As things stand, Real Madrid are second in La Liga, four points behind Barcelona. While they have made it to the Champions League Round of 16, they find themselves on the tougher side of the bracket with a difficult road to the final in Budapest.
So, for now, Arbeloa is expected to stay in charge at Real Madrid at least until the end of the season at which point the club will take stock of the situation and make a decision.
