Real Madrid ‘will try’ to sign Man City star this summer | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid are readying a move for a member of the defensive ranks at Manchester City.

This comes after incoming manager José Mourinho made known his desire to have Joško Gvardiol at his disposal for next season.

Real Madrid have of course identified the club’s backline as a priority area of reinforcement with a view to the summer. Over the last 48 hours alone, the Bernabéu brass have tied up deals for both Ibrahima Konaté, and Denzel Dumfries.

The aforementioned José Mourinho, though, still does not appear to be satisfied with the quality and depth of options set to be under his watch in Spain’s capital.

As a result, the Portuguese is now eyeing fresh blood on the left.

As per a report from transfer journalist Alberto Pereiro:

‘Mourinho asks for Gvardiol! Florentino thinks he’s the best of all the defender names they’ve shown him, even the two he’s already closed on! They’re gonna try for him, come hell or high water!’
