After suffering defeat in El Clásico and losing the title, Álvaro Arbeloa’s side responded with a 2-0 win over Real Oviedo in their last game.
However, it has been a difficult period for Los Blancos, who have managed just three wins in their previous nine matches. Their hopes of winning the league ended after a 2-0 defeat to Barcelona, who have now been crowned champions. Despite ongoing tension within the squad, Real Madrid has already secured second place.
Arbeloa is dealing with several injury concerns. Federico Valverde has returned to light training after a concussion picked up during a training-ground incident involving Aurélien Tchouaméni, but he will not be available for this match.
Kylian Mbappé made his comeback from a hamstring injury as a substitute against Oviedo and is expected to start, even though some fans have expressed frustration towards him.
Arda Güler, Éder Militão, and Ferland Mendy have all been ruled out due to muscle injuries, while Rodrygo continues to miss out with a long-term ACL injury.
Dean Huijsen and goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will be assessed late due to illness. Meanwhile, Antonio Rüdiger and Jude Bellingham are both expected to return to the starting lineup.
Possible Real Madrid starting XI: Courtois; Alexander-Arnold, Huijsen, Rudiger, F Garcia; Pitarch, Tchouameni; Brahim, Bellingham, Vinicius; Mbappe
The match will kick off at 6pm BST on Sunday, 17th May.
Fans in the UK can watch the match live on Premier Sports 1.
