Real Madrid youngster Gonzalo García has named his two Blancos idols.

This, of course, comes fresh off an evening to remember for frontman Gonzalo on Wednesday.

Introduced off the bench late in Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey quarter-final meeting with Leganés, the Spaniard went on to prove himself match-winner.

Deep into injury time, Gonzalo broke free in the hosts’ penalty area, to nod home a fine header and ensure a 3-2 Blancos triumph.

Post-match at The Estadio Municipal de Butarque, the young striker was in turn pulled in for several exchanges with the media.

And, during one such back-and-forth, Gonzalo revealed his two Real Madrid club icons.

In quotes gathered by Melchor Ruiz of COPE, the 20-year-old confirmed:

“My idols and references are Cristiano Ronaldo and now, Kylian Mbappé.”

Gonzalo, understandably ecstatic following an outing which will live long in the memory, went on to add:

“I am very happy, I have dreamed since I was little of living a day like this.”
