The latest to make waves is Real Madrid’s U13 youth captain Hugo Fernandez, who has raised eyebrows with his goals against Villarreal today.

Is he Modric? Is he Benzema? He is Hugo Fernandez

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Hugo Fernandez was once again the standout name for Real Madrid in the Futures tournament being held in Orlando, Florida.

After having impressed in the Vila-real edition earlier this year, the youngster has picked up right where he left off.

The U-13 side had been struggling in their debut match against Villarreal, trailing 2-0. But then came Hugo’s moment.

Despite having had little involvement in the first half, the captain stepped up when it mattered most, scoring two brilliant goals to rescue his team.

With his trademark flowing hair, the No. 10 shirt, and calm presence, Fernandez evokes memories of Luka Modric because of his hairstyle.

However, his style of play resembles that of Karim Benzema, a forward who not only finishes but also drops deep to link up play.

Left-footed but capable with his right, Fernandez has that natural flair and creativity typical of a gifted lefty.

Born in 2013 and signed from Ciudad de Getafe as a Pre-benjamin, Hugo Fernandez is seen as one of Real Madrid’s brightest young prospects. But given his age, the youngster teenage prodigy, for now, should just focus on enjoying football.
