Real Sociedad working to seal Wesley Ribeiro loan with option to buy | OneFootball

Real Sociedad are working to complete the loan of 20-year-old Brazilian winger Wesley Ribeiro from Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. The move would strengthen their attack if finalised in the coming hours, and discussions include a possible option to buy.

According to Diario Vasco, the club want the clause because, if he impresses over the next few months, he could become an attractive longer-term signing.

A right-footed wide player, he is quick and comfortable on either flank. After not reaching his own expectations in Saudi Arabia, he has opted for a European move with Real Sociedad. The need is heightened by Kubo’s injury, which will sideline him for several months.

Wesley, as he is known, has made nine appearances for Al-Nassr this season, about half of their league games. He has accumulated 385 minutes.

Most of those minutes have arrived in the past month, as he did not play during the early weeks of August.

The next steps hinge on finalising the terms of the loan and any purchase option.
