Real Sociedad’s Copa del Rey celebrations: timings and bus parade route in San Sebastián | OneFootball

Gipuzkoa is celebrating after Real Sociedad won a fourth Copa del Rey, beating Atlético de Madrid on penalties at La Cartuja in Seville. The club will stage homecoming events today and a citywide parade tomorrow in San Sebastián.

According to AS, Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side are due to land at Hondarribia around 13:15 after departing Seville at about 12:00. The squad will then travel by bus to Zubieta, where their families will be waiting at around 14:00.

The official reception takes place tomorrow, Monday, when the city turns out alongside the champions’ bus. The parade will start at 18:00 from the Reale Arena, Anoeta, and finish at City Hall, where players, coaches and directors will present the trophy.

The route runs along Avenida de Madrid, Pío XII and Sancho el Sabio to Plaza Centenario. It then heads onto Avenida de la Libertad, past Calle Okendo and the Boulevard area, before concluding at City Hall.

Celebrations will bring significant parking and traffic restrictions today, Sunday, and tomorrow, Monday. No parking is permitted on affected streets from today, with initial closures and barriers in place from 10:00 on Monday. From 15:00, the listed streets and the city centre between Avenida de la Libertad and the Boulevard will be closed to traffic until after the event.
